About the destination: Göcek is a quaint town situated in Fethiye, within the Muğla Province. It is nestled between Fethiye and Dalyan. During the Ottoman era, Göcek served as a port for ships that were loading chrome mined from the nearby mountains. Today, Göcek is home to six major marinas that cater to yacht tourism in the area: Club Marina, Skopea Marina, Municipality Marinas, Marinturk Göcek Village Port, Marinturk Göcek Exclusive, and D-Marin Gocek. Thanks to its strategic location, the town has a high potential for yacht tourism. Since 1988, the construction of multi-story buildings has been prohibited in Göcek, as it was declared a Registered Area of Special Protection. Göcek offers a variety of accommodation options for tourists, including hotels, motels, apartment hotels, and pensions located in the town center and its outskirts.
