1. Gocek
Stay
About the city: Göcek is a small town in Fethiye in Muğla Province. It is located between Fethiye and Dalyan. During the Ottoman period, Göcek was a harbor for ships loading chrome collected from the mines under nearby mountains. Today, Göcek hosts six significant marinas serving yacht tourism in the region: Club Marina, Skopea Marina, Municipality Marinas, Marinturk Göcek Village Port, Marinturk Göcek Exclusive, and D-Marin Gocek. Owing to its location, the town has a high potential for yacht tourism. Since 1988, multi-story buildings are forbidden when Göcek was declared a Registered Area of Special Protection. Göcek serves many types of accommodation facilities for its tourists, such as storied hotels, motels, apartment hotels, and pensions situated in the town center and its periphery. Göcek is one of the quietest and peaceful areas in Turkey, even with all the necessary infrastructure, capacity, and amenities expected in a tourism center. The harbor is quiet and safe due to the secluded bay, especially for long-distance travelers arriving from international waters. Göcek coves and 12 islands are known as a hidden paradise, with clean Mediterranean water, green pine forests, and beaches. Visitors have many activities to experience in the town with high-quality boarding facilities, daily boat tours, entertainment facilities on the seaside, and nearby beaches and coves, as well as restaurants, cafés, and bars on the promenade.

2. Istanbul
Stay
About the city: Istanbul owes its historic importance and its amazing cultural and architectural heritage to its perfect strategic location, straddling the Bosphorus straits which separate Europe and Asia Minor. Through most of its 2,500-year-long history, the city (first known as Byzantium, then as Constantinople and since 1930 as Istanbul) was a cultural melting pot. Today, its population of more than 13 million is almost exclusively Turkish, and many of its people are recent migrants from provincial Turkey, lured by the promise of jobs and careers in this vibrant, fast-growing city. Istanbul is no longer the nation's capital, but is Turkey's economic and cultural powerhouse - a status underlined by its role as a European City of Culture in 2010 and the award of UNESCO World Heritage listing to many of its most important landmarks, which range from stunning Ottoman mosques and Byzantine churches and catacombs to the columns of Hellenistic temples and the remains of massive medieval city walls. But there's more to Istanbul than Byzantine and Ottoman heritage. A fast-growing economy contributed to a flourishing arts and music scene, with a plethora of new bars, clubs, private art galleries, restaurants and designer fashion outlets.
