The pool and beach setting were incredible, the room was spacious and had nice amenitys, the beds were comfy and balconys had a stunning view. We upgraded to half board when we arrived, breakfast had lots of options, dinner was always really high quality food, however the amount offered did seem to depend on how many people were in the hotel at the time.

Me & my husband stayed at Ahungalla resort for 5days and we had an amazing experience. It was a memorable holiday. Initially we booked room only but upgraded to half board on arrival which was the best decision. Food was great and had lots of choices. Overall great place to relax 😊

When you stay at Heritance Ahungalla in Ahungalla, you'll be on the beach and steps from Ahungalla Beach. This beach hotel is 9.2 mi (14.9 km) from Bentota Beach and 1.2 mi (2 km) from Kosgoda Beach.

Ahungalle is a small village on the southwestern coast, about 15 km south of Bentota and 40 km north of the provincial capital Galle, famous for its sand beach, surrounded by a wide palm belt, considered to be one of the most beautiful on the island. A worthwhile excursion destination is, for example, the tortoise farm in the neighboring village of Kosgoda. The railway line to the south runs close to the coast line, in some hotels can be heard in time train tracks. Especially during the rainy season the surf is often very strong and the sea is not suitable for bathing. The best travel time for the southwest coast is from November to April. Arrival by land transfer from Colombo (Bandaranaike airport).
