How’s the Weather in May in Maldives in 2021?

May is the monsoon season in Maldives and is considered to be an offseason. Temperatures aren’t too different from the rest of the year though. May is still quite hot and sunny with temperatures averaging about 28-31 degrees celsius.

You can expect some light showers in the early mornings or late evenings that last for 10-20 mins on average. A continuous downpour isn’t that common even in the monsoon season.

About the destination

The Maldives, situated in the Indian Ocean, consist of an archipelago of 1,192 coral islands arranged into 26 coral atolls. Out of these tiny islands, only 203 are inhabited.
