Jomtien is located about 160 km from Bangkok and stretches almost seamlessly southeast from Pattaya. A variety of hotels and key tourist facilities such as shops, restaurants, and bars are concentrated in the northern, main section. The narrow, busy beach is separated from the hotels by a road. Farther east, in the Na Jomtien area, hotels are set in a quieter environment and often sit directly on a wider beach. The balanced climate, with a less intense summer rainy season, makes the region a year-round destination. The sea is not always clear close to shore, and jellyfish may be present. Buses, taxis, and tuk-tuks provide convenient and fast connections to Pattaya.
