I checked in and checkout out. I had a vehicle and no parking garage. The public garage meant I would walk w all the drug dealers, drug addicts and homeless people. One of the dealers went to my vehicle and started banging on it. It was broad daylight I could only imagine having to this at night.

Looks better than it is

Check in staff was friendly but rooms are smaller than they appear. Very few amenities - mostly vending. No ice in the ice machine, just room temp water. Directed to parking, but they do not validate so expect $30 parking in addition to room cost, plus more if you move your vehicle to go out. Check out staff the next morning was rude, and breakfast was limited. Not bad overall but would not rebook.

I've stayed here a few times--it's a no frills hotel but quite modern and clean. The cheapest room is a bit like staying in an extra large phone booth...but hey...it's very economical. Plus they quite are generous with the freebies in the lounge--coffee, pastries, even unlimited Frosted Flakes. Can't really complain. The neighborhood has actually improved quite a bit, too. It used to be very dicey, despite the immaculate condition of the hotel itself.
