A hideaway in the middle of the city. The charming boutique hotel has been family-run for three generations and is a pioneer of the common good economy. The Boutique Hotel & Villa AUERSPERG welcomes you with an extraordinary style and ambience, a beautiful city garden with a cozy terrace and a city SPA in the middle of the lively Andräviertel in the city center of Salzburg. With its own (E-) parking lot & many high-class bikes for the guests (for a surcharge). Our hotel consists of two buildings: the hotel and Villa Auersperg are right next to each other. Tradition and design are skilfully combined in the 55 rooms, fine details such as selected books, Tivoli audio systems and a café and tea bar ensure an extra level of comfort. Our wonderful breakfast buffet, consisting mostly of organic, homemade and regional products, as well as vegan, gluten- and lactose-free options, is available daily from 6.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. / 11.30 a.m. on Sundays and public holidays – on the garden terrace when the weather is nice. The Bar & Lounge are open daily from 07.00-24.00. Bar menu daily until 10 p.m A very special highlight is the Petit City Spa with sauna, steam bath and sun terrace - massages with our top therapists can be booked. In the attic of the villa is our atmospheric yoga loft, where morning yoga takes place on Wednesdays (07.30) and Fridays (08.30). From the hotel you can reach numerous restaurants and shops in a few minutes on foot along the Linzergasse pedestrian zone. The Festspielhaus is only a 20-minute walk away.

The old town is impressive and compact, centred around the expansive Residenzplatz and is largely a pedestrian zone. The relatively new town is centred around Mirabellplatz and Markartplatz. Salzburg's striking hills rise directly from the old town. The most noticeable hilltop fortification is the Hohensalzburg, built over centuries on an ancient Celtic and Roman site, and is now the largest fully preserved medieval castle in Europe. For a different kind of splendour, visit the Schloss Mirabell and its Gardens, located right next to the Salzach River and the Mozarteum University of Music and Arts. The castle was built by an archbishop for his beloved courtesan. You can wander around extravagant rose and flower gardens and marvel at the stone dwarves in the Zwerglgarten. To learn about Mozart and his life, visit his Geburtshaus, Mozart's birth house. The street itself is worth a look, the guild signs and painted wall decorations are much as they were at the time of Mozart’s birth. The house exhibits pictures, letters, and stage sets for the various operas Mozart wrote. Protected by forested mountains, Salzburg is a city of enchantment whose voice is expressed in some of the world’s most sublime music, composed by favourite son, Mozart. The era that produced the unrivalled musical genius of Mozart also built the beautiful castles and churches of Salzburg, and fostered a love of music that lives on today in Salzburg’s countless concert series and annual summer festival.
