Brides-les-Bains France

Brides-les-Bains is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France. It served as an Olympic Village for the 1992 Winter Olympics, based in Albertville, France. The town is easily accessible via direct Eurostar services from London and has a cable-car link straight to the ski slopes at Méribel, a major resort about eight miles (13 km) away. Brides-les-Bains’ main attraction for tourists is its convenient access to Méribel. The village itself offers several attractions, including health spas and a casino, as well as sites of historic and cultural interest such as the springs that gave the town its name, a medieval church, and a statue made from piping titled “La Manche de Chapeau.”
