Brides-les-Bains France

Brides-les-Bains is a village in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It served as an Olympic Village for the 1992 Winter Olympics, held in Albertville, France. The village is easily accessible via direct Eurostar services from London, and there is a cable-car link straight to the ski slopes at Méribel, a major resort about eight miles (13 km) away. Brides-les-Bains’ main appeal for visitors is its convenience for Méribel. The village itself has a small number of attractions, including several health spas and a casino, along with sites of historical and cultural interest such as the springs that gave the town its name, a medieval church, and a sculpture made from piping called “La Manche de Chapeau.”
