Alsace France

Alsace is a cultural and historical region in eastern France, on the west bank of the upper Rhine. It borders Germany to the north and east, Switzerland and Franche-Comté to the south, and Lorraine to the west. There are several valleys in the region. Its highest point is the Grand Ballon in Haut-Rhin, which reaches 1,426 metres. The ried lies along the Rhine.
